Ruth Carter’s work is inspired by the landscape and coast of North East Essex and is exhibited in shops and galleries across East Anglia.

Her jewellery features handmade glass and polymer clay beads. She makes watercolours and hand-painted silk scarves, often depicting native insects or flowers cut from the garden.

Her papier-mâché sculptures are life-sized representations of British birds found in the garden or the local rivers and estuaries. Her work is available to buy online at www.cartersgallery.co.uk
